Host of The Beer History Podcast.

We finished recording our first episode! We’re calling it “Episode 00: Beer for Beginners”. The first half is a nice introduction to your two hosts, David & Dennis. The second half is a crash course in what exactly beer is, mostly for those of you who are more here for the history side of things.

There were some technical difficulties, like when I tripped over a cord which yanked out of the mixer and we lost an entire 15 minutes of the podcast. That was fun! All in all, I think it sounded pretty good. It should be airing in about a month of this post.

Mike tears things up while I try my best to look like I know what I’m doing.

Local guitarist Mike Casey swung by the loft today to help us lay down an intro track for the show. Mike is a pretty seasoned blues guitarist. I play bass for fun, but let’s just say I ain’t exactly Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was a struggle. Lucky for me, Mike could pretty much work with anything I came up with, and after several attempts, I was finally able to come up with something usable. Mike killed it and the final track came out awesome! You’ll hear it at the beginning of E00: Beer for Beginners. Thanks Mike!!

Dennis was there recording and aside from some extremely important cables not coming in the mail on time, the learning curve of a brand new mixer, and a couple random toddler dance breaks, he managed to make it all work. Way to improvise!

I know what you’re all really wondering though. The answer is Hofbräu Maibock, and it was delicious.

But you probably already noticed, since you’re here.

This is a great milestone for us at TBHP. This will be the place to go for information about episodes, to join out mailing list, and a hub for all of our supported social media outlets. Keep checking back to see what’s the latest!
