Featured Music

We may be all about beer and history here at TBHP, but we're also huge into music. We feature a new band during the credits of every episode along with great music in all of our other videos. Check out some of the featured music from our shows below.

Special thanks goes out to the legendary Mike Park and Asian Man Records for allowing us to feature so many killer artists!

The Moore Family Band

S1 E5 The History of German Beer

The Moore Family Band – comprised of siblings Alyssa (lead vocals), Randy (guitar/bass), and Dylan Moore (drums/back-up vocals) – delivers sunny, propulsively catchy alt-rock while layering on the kinds of dueling guitars and perfectly judged harmonies that might be more at home on an ‘80s metal record.

Sarchasm

S1 E3 The History of Ancient Beer

From Berkeley, California our beloved Sarchasm are three introverts (and occasionally, one extrovert) with radically different coffeeshop orders, unified by their love of superheroes, burritos, and ugly button-up shirts. They make music about mountains and friendships gone wrong. All members are volunteers at 924 GILMAN and can be seen at most shows there, so say hi if you are there.

Ogikubo Station

S1 E2: The History of Beer in Japan

A few years back, Mike Park had asked Maura Weaver to sing on a song he had written. Nothing fancy, just guitar and voices. As they finished the song, they both thought to themselves "our voices sound really good together" and so Ogikubo Station was born. The duo recorded their debut 6 song EP last year and on August 24th, the band will release their debut full length "We Can Pretend Like". 11 songs going back and forth with acoustic and full band arrangements. Songs that dive into the heart of love, loss, alcoholism, racism, and everyday life. Recorded at District Recordings in San Jose by engineer Ryan Perras(Dan Andriano(alkaline trio), Hard Girls, Jesse Michaels(operation ivy), the album was produced by Mike Park.

The Abruptors

S1 E1: Craft Beer in the USA

Ska's not dead!! The Abruptors are a 7 piece ska band formed in 2015 out of Buffalo, NY with the soul of traditional 1960s ska and rocksteady. They've shared the stage with amazing acts like Mustard Plug, MU330, Fishbone, and The Toasters!
